Walt and Tanya's Anniversary Ride - New and Improved!

**PLEASE READ NOW (vs. later) as we need to make reservations for our lunch stop soon.**

We are hosting our sixth annual anniversary ride! This version is completely different than our past anniversary rides as Red Wind Casino Grille no longer serves before 4pm. **NEW and IMPROVED plan** as follows:

\- Depart our home in Lakewood\, WA at 10am\. Traffic should be light since August 31st is the Sunday in the middle of Labor Day weekend\.
Ride approximately 30 miles roundtrip on a circular scenic route around Tacoma, including waterfront views and low traffic roads.
**\- LUNCH:** We will make lunch reservations at [Katie Downs Restaurant](https://katiedowns.com/) on Ruston Way in Tacoma. This is a waterfront restaurant with a wide variety of food options. We need to make our reservations for a group SOON so if you suspect you'll be in town on that date and interested in a scenic Pierce County ride, please RSVP right away. Of course you can change your reservation later, if necessary.
\- Rain cancels\. Route details will be coming soon but Walt is fairly adept at planning the safest routes available\.

Hope you can help us celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and 35th year of riding tandem together. Our actual anniversary on September 1st, but thought you'd all appreciate the lower traffic for your drives to and from our house on August 31st. We'll send private emails to all confirmed RSVP's including our home address and directions on August 29th.
