I’ve cycled for fun all my life on and off but it wasn’t until 2016 or 2017 when I got my first new road bike.
How did you get into cycling?
I didn’t have a vehicle and needed a way to get around aside from public transit. Once I got my road bike I slowly started riding further and further for more than utilitarian reasons and enjoyed the speed and freedom I felt.
What is your favorite discipline?
Road Cycling.
Who is your favorite cyclist?
Jonas Vingengaard for his humbleness, humility in defeat, and his willingness to never give up.
What has been your favorite event in 2024?
I don’t get a chance to watch professional cycling but my favourite event I participated in was the 100km Tour de Dundas.
What is something you want to see in the future of cycling?
Beginner cycling clinics for older adults like myself who aren’t looking to race competitively but still want friendly competition events and to stay healthy.
