Sunday 5 January 2025 – The Annual GoBike Infrastructure Ride

We use cycle infrastructure on just about every ride but this year our specific infrastructure ride will take in much of the recently built cycle infrastructure within Glasgow. We will revisit Byres Road, taking a more detailed look than last month, where we can check how closely the route matches this Option 2 design proposal, from way before the pandemic.

We will then cycle around to the Woodside area on the way to Sighthill. Then it will be through the Merchant City, on the way to the riverside. Lastly we will visit Kinning Park, on the way back to the starting point, which we should reach around lunchtime.
15 miles, with only the occasional climb, and some short bits on main roads.

Our meeting time and place, will be as usual, at 10am at the north end of Bell’s Bridge, at the SEC, Congress Road, Glasgow.
