MB Wales recruiting Steering Group positions to develop MTB
Following the recent rebrand of Beicio Cymru, MB Wales has announced that recruitment is open to support the development of MTB in Wales.

MB Wales is excited to announce the recruitment of new members for its Steering Group. The Steering Group plays a vital role in representing the MTB and off-road sector in Wales, ensuring what is set out in the MB Wales Strategy is delivered against.
Recruitment for the Steering Groups follows a gathering of a diverse group of stakeholders on the 10th May 2024 at The Lodge, Staylittle, where a variety of areas for developing the sector were explored. The outcome of the gathering was the development of a draft strategy – ‘ A Strategy for the Sustainable Development of Mountain Biking in Wales’. The Steering Group will play a vital role in representing the MTB and off-road sector in Wales, ensuring what is set out in the strategy is delivered against.
Beicio Cymru’s Director of Development & Events, Robbie George, said: “We have heard through many conversations with stakeholders across Wales how much a voice is needed to speak and act on behalf of the sector. We have a world class product in Wales but it is losing market share due to a lack of investment, exacerbated by the economic challenges impacting all sectors in Wales. The gathering in May was a first step in understanding what development stakeholders want to see, with the next step to recruit a steering group to help shape and deliver the strategy, with a priority to secure public and private investment in MB Wales and the wider sector.
I’ve worked closely with the existing members of MB Wales to understand what is needed to move forward and I’m really pleased we’re now able to recruit for these vital roles that will help transform off-road cycling in Wales”.
Applications are open now and will close on Friday, 23rd August 2024 at 12pm.
