There are evil forces at work, trying with the use of numbers and other black magic to prove that the Omloop is NOT the greatest race on earth. I know, I have irrefutable evidence of this foul conspiracy!
Thing is they may turn out to be right but no one can refute that from the time the riders cross the line on the Champs Elysee in July the cycling world more or less goes in a waiting mode for the next Omloop. And today the day is finally here!

No one knows what the new route will bring but you can't go wrong with an up and coming Flandrian in the Omloop.
Women's Omloop
Women race a shortened version of the new course with the same finale kept intact. It should be one of the absolute best courses of the women's season. Sadly it is not (yet?) part of the World Tour and won't have live coverage.
