2008 Felt Bayonet stem adjustment

I have a 2008 Felt B2 TT. I am trying to adjust the bayonet stem. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the silver spline / knuckle from the stem? It doesn't want to budge. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
