Team SK Women
We cheered on Saskatchewan in the Men’s Semi Final. The boys put it all out there and made some fantastic shots, we wanted the win for them… we are all so proud of them!
Today we played in the Mixed Doubles competition.
Silvernagle Defeats Englot in Saturday Nights A-Final
Robyn Silvernagle and her team out of the Twin Rivers Curling Club carried on with their winning ways, making it their 11th out of 12 wins here at the Viterra Scotties Women’s Provincial over the past two years!
Team SK Women
For our final game in the championship round, we played Nova Scotia. We had a good game. Both teams made great shots and both had some misses. The NS skip made a nice run back with her first and hit for three with her second, picking up three in the ninth end.
Team SK Men
We had one game on Wednesday against a tough PEI team. It came down to the last end but Team Sask came out on top. That puts us tied at the top at a record of 6-1. We had two late night practices and it was time for rest.
When Greg Harlow announced to his partner Nick Brett that there was enough room to split two red balls, the apparently all-elderly audience at the Indoor Bowls world championships in England laughed.

Tuesday was a big day for Team Sask. as we went 2-0 with victories over NWT and NFLD securing the #1 rank amongst all championship pool teams.
We now play the top 4 teams from the other pool.

Bowls, lawn or indoor is a vastly under-appreciated sport in the United States. One part bowling, two parts curling or bocce, it garners more popularity in the U.K. and Australia than on this side of the pond.
