Aaron Tveit is back on Broadway right now in the musical Chess and he has a show-stopping moment with the power ballad “Pity the Child,” which you can now stream on all services!
The Act 2 song is all about his character Freddie Trumper reflecting on his childhood and how his struggles as a kid made him into the person he is now.
“Pity the child but not forever / Not if he stays that way / He can get all he ever wanted / If he’s prepared to pay,” he belts out.
The Tony-winning actor is starring alongside Lea Michele and Nicholas Christopher in the smash-hit musical, with music and lyrics by ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and EGOT winner Tim Rice.
