0 13

The FIDE World Corporate Chess Championship is an international team event organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) that brings together companies from around the world to compete for the title of “Smartest Company in the World.” Each team represents a registered company with four players and a captain, all of whom must be employees, executives, or major shareholders. The 2025 edition includes online qualifiers (October 11–12), online knockout rounds (October 18), and over-the-board finals in Goa, India (November 14–16). Teams compete in rapid chess (10 minutes + 3 seconds per move) through Swiss and knockout formats, with finalists receiving paid travel and accommodation, VIP event access, and global corporate exposure.

The online qualifiers for the FIDE World Corporate Chess Championship are played on Lichess.org, which is the official platform for the online stages (both qualifiers and knockout rounds). Teams compete under FIDE supervision, using Lichess’s fair-play system plus additional FIDE monitoring to ensure integrity.
