0 17

FIDE Women World Chess Cup 2025 is taking place July 5 – July 29 in Batumi, Georgia, and is one of the major events of The Chess Calendar. A total of 107 participants (increased from the initially announced 103 participants) compete for 691 000 eur prize fund. Live games will be daily with analysis on Chessdom

The Women’s World Cup has reached its semifinal stage. Lei Tingjie vs Humpy Koneru and Divya Deshmukh vs Tan Zhongyi will determine who goes on to the final and continues the race for the title of the most important knockout event in the calendar.

Divya Deshmukh started with wins vs Mgeladze and Injac, but had to go through two consecutive difficult tiebreaks to reach the semifinal (see Divya Deshmukh’s emotions here). Tan Zhongyi won all four matches and is looking very solid in her games. Divya Deshmukh vs Tan Zhongyi will be live here on Chessdom, parallel to Lei Tingjie vs Humpy Koneru.
