Lei Tingjie overtakes Ju Wenjun and is now second in the world

After her victory in the quarterfinals of the Women’s World Cup, Lei Tingjie is officially the second highest rated chess player in the women rating list. Lei Tingjie added 4,2 elo more today and overtakes the World Champion Ju Wenjun.
The new rating is also new peak rating for Lei Tingjie. In the July 2025 rating list she is at her highest ever 2557, while at this moment Lei Tingjie is 2571,6 and can add extra points until the end of the World Cup.
