FIDE World Blitz Teams 2025 LIVE

The FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team Championships take place June 10-16, 2025, in London, United Kingdom. The World Rapid and Blitz Team Championships are back – with a record-breaking €500,000 prize fund. This is double the prize fund of Dusseldorf, which was €250,000, and more than Kazakhstan, which was €350,000. FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team 2025 participants feature 104 Grandmasters (including 5 from the World top 10 – Hikaru Nakamura, Arjun Erigaisi, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Alireza Firouzja, Ian Nepomniachtchi) 63 IMs, and a total of 316 titled players. This is the live games broadcast of the FIDE World Blitz 2025. In the rapid section MGD1 won ahead of Hexamind (silver) and Freedom (bronze). After Day 1 MGD1 was the only perfect team in the field, winning vs Mongolz, Barys.kz, Rishon LeZion Chess Club, and Uzbekistan. Day 2 also finished with MGD1 leading the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Teams, but this time they are equal with Hexamind. Victories by Arjun Erigaisi and Pranav V sealed the victory for MGD1 in day 3. In the blitz section, top seeded WR Chess will be looking to do better, but a multitude of teams have a chance for medals.
