Team MGD1 is the sole leader of the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Teams 2025. After 4 rounds, MGD1 is the only perfect team in the field, winning vs Mongolz, Barys.kz, Rishon LeZion Chess Club, and Uzbekistan.

The FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team Championships take place June 10-16, 2025, in London, United Kingdom. The World Rapid and Blitz Team Championships are back – with a record-breaking €500,000 prize fund. This is double the prize fund of Dusseldorf, which was €250,000, and more than Kazakhstan, which was €350,000.

FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team 2025 participants feature 104 Grandmasters (including 4 from the World top 10 – Hikaru Nakamura, Arjun Erigaisi, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Alireza Firouzja) 63 IMs, and a total of 316 titled players.
