Uzchess Cup 2025 – participants and information

A new super-tournament for your chess calendar – the Uzchess Cup second edition will be a 10 player round robin with 2726 ELO average (according to the May rating list). Top seeded in the Masters section is Arjun Erigaisi, who will be coming from Delhi Open and will be accompanied by his fellow countrymen Pragg, Aravindh, and Harikrishna. The local heroes on the board will be Abdusattorov, Sindarov, Yakubboev, and Vokhidov. To avoid making it an India vs Uzbekistan match, two more players join the field – Nepomniachtchi and Rapport.

Uzchess Cup 2025 takes place 18-28 June in Tashkent. There will be a total of three 10 player round robin tournaments. Live games will be daily on Chessdom, while additional news can be found in the Chessdom Newsletter – you can sign up for free in the form below.
