2024 US Women Chess Championship – participants and information

The nation’s top chess players are set to compete in America’s most prestigious events – the 2024 U.S. Chess Championship and the 2024 U.S. Women’s Chess Championship.

The 2024 US Women Chess Championship takes place from 11th to 24th October with the participation of the whole US Olympic Women team which won the bronze medals – reigning US Women Chess Champion Carissa Yip, rating favorite Irina Krush, Begim Tokhirjonova, Olympic silver board medalist Alice Lee, Im Anna Zatonskih. They are joined by Nazi Paikidze, Tatev Abrahamyan, Atousa Pourkashiyan, Megan Lee, Jennifer Yu, Thalia Cervantes, and wild card Rose Atwell.

Where is the 2024 US Women Chess Championship?

Hosted by the Saint Louis Chess Club (STLCC) at the World Chess Hall of Fame. It is located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Founded in 1984, it features chess exhibits, engages in educational outreach, and maintains a list of inductees to the U.S. Chess Hall of Fame and World Chess Hall of Fame.
