Given the opposition, and in their own back yard, these words come to mind:
0 Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
your likes again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against them,
Proud Edward’s Army,
And sent them homeward,
Tae think again
Just to think, it was not that long ago when Declan came to Castlehill Chess Club Dundee with his dad Paul, no higher than a grasshopper, and look at him now! Castlehill Chess Club Dundee, the City of Dundee and Scotland, are so proud of him and his achievements so far, not just in chess, but life as well.
All that hard work has paid off and the world is his oyster as they say!
Once again, congratulations Declan Shafi, the pride of Castlehill CC, Dundee and Scotland!
