THE TAFCA TEAM BATTLE ONLINE 2022-23

Congratulations to Castlehill A for winning back to back titles in the TAFCA Team Battle! It was a close thing but they just managed to beat Dundee A to the post at the end!
To top that off, Castlehill`s Richard Polaczek IM also won back to back titles as he finished joint top of the individual standings alongside Castlehill junior sensation Rishi Vijayakumar and Dundee legend, Ed Spencer all on 16 points!
This was a 5 round Swiss, 15 minutes each player, which ran for 1 hour 30 minutes only. Once the clock hit 9pm, any games in progress carried on but did not count towards the score. The top 4 scoring players from each team provided the points for their team (on lichess they are called leaders). We had hoped to make it 5 players but one team had call-offs and were down to 3 players, so 4 it was.
A special mention to Castlehill C and its players who managed an unbelievable 16 points in a very strong field! With only beginners, juniors and maybe one experienced player, this was an out of this world result!
