The 97th edition of the Argentine Absolute Chess Championship takes place from 1st-10th December 2022 in Hotel Monte Claro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Rio Negro. 12 players will compete in 11 rounds (round-robin system) for the title of National Chess Champion and the prize fund of 1.000.000 ARS (~5.760eur). The best-rated player in Argentina, GM Alan Pichot, 2013 Argentine Champion GM Sandro Mareco and two-time National Champion of Argentina GM Fernando Peralta are the top seeds.
