A 7-year-old girl from Romania – Eliza Cretescu agreed to play in the 4th round of the European School Chess Championship 2022 even though her opponent was running late for the game. European Chess Union recognized the thoughtful act and awarded Eliza Cretescu with the special Fair Play Award.
