It's one thing to fall behind on chess events, but another matter entirely not to keep up with Notre Dame football! So here's what you've missed, fellow fans of the Fighting Irish:
Last week, Notre Dame, then ranked 13th, took on and defeated USC (best known as O.J. Simpson's alma mater) 31-16. This week, ranked #11 (and based on earlier results today, moving up in the polls), they take on the University of North Carolina. (The game can be seen, right now, on NBC.) It hasn't been smooth, but the Irish lead 31-27 late in the third quarter.
Here's "tune time" from last week's win, and we'll have a new one after Notre Dame finishes off the Tar Heels.
