THURS NIGHT QUICK-PLAY
06/10/21 – Arena 69
Time-Control – 4 minutes Blitz.
This is the first ever 4 minute blitz we have held and it seemed to go very well indeed. In all 10 players took part with Lichess username; “nyegarston” taking first place on 16 points. Apologies but as this is an open competition and anybody can enter for now, I have no idea of the identity of the player involved, but well played and a deserved win!
Graham Mooney took the runner-ups spot on 14 points, while young Josh Dickson took the last podium place (3rd) on 10 points. That was a magnificent performance by Josh Dickson who is only 10 years old. What a talent we have and who knows what the future holds for Josh!
Thank you to everybody that took part and I hope you enjoyed the time format. In line with shaking things up a little next week we will be down to 3 minutes only!
