CASTLEHILL CHESS CLUB DUNDEE – GRAND RE-OPENING
At last our chess club will be opening again for OTB, Face to face chess! It’s been a long time coming and will unfortunately come with some restrictions due to government and Dundee University rules. The big day is on;
Thursday 21st October 2021 at 7:30pm to 10pm
University of Dundee Chaplaincy
(Note that there is no longer any free car parking at the UOD.)
If you are planning to come you must contact Trevor Harley or Ray Noble before the 21st – we are limited in terms of the numbers allowed in the rooms.
The following rules must be observed.
- You must observe social distancing of at least 1 m.
- Masks must be worn at all times (unless you are exempt).
- Please wash hands or use the hand sanitiser regularly.
- Pieces and boards must be wiped down before playing, after changing opponents, and most importantly, when you finish playing.
- We cannot supply refreshments, so please bring your own.
- When you arrive you must register with Test and Protect via the QR codes on the coffee bar tables and notice board. If you don’t have a smart phone you must leave your name and contact information.
- I hope it goes without saying that if you think you might have Covid, have any symptoms of Covid, or have been recently exposed to anyone with Covid, you must not attend.
- If you develop Covid within 10 days you must let us know You must tidy up after you’ve finished, taking your rubbish with you or putting it in the bins.
- We must finish at 10.00 and the building must be closed by then.
- By attending you acknowledge you have read and agree to follow these rules.
We are sorry about these rules, but if we don’t have them, we can’t re-open at all.
We look forward to seeing you all again face to face and hopefully we will be back to normal service in the near future!
