New streaming gear from Razer – get started streaming on a budget
NEWS – Razer, a company known for its computer hardware and gaming peripherals, has introduced new budget-friendly versions of two of its existing streaming products – the Kiyo X webcam and Ripsaw X HDMI capture card.
The Kiyo X USB webcam gives users a choice between 1080p 30 fps or 720p 60 fps modes, allowing for higher resolution or better frame rate, depending on the needs of the stream. Auto or manual focus helps keep the image sharp and multiple image presets as well as manual settings for brightness, contrast, saturation, and white balance, help gamers create just the look they’re trying to achieve.
Kiyo X comes with a mount that can clip onto a monitor, sit on a desk with adjustable angles, or even be mounted on a tripod. A built-in omni-directional mic captures audio if having an external microphone isn’t an option.
Razer’s Virtual Ring Light software uses the computer’s monitor as a light source, illuminating the gamer without needing separate lighting equipment.
Ripsaw X is an external USB 3.0 capture device, compatible with HDMI 2.0, for gamers with an external camera. Ripsaw X captures video at 4K 30 fps or 1080p at up to 120 fps. This capture card features ultra-low latency for realtime capture without noticeable lag.
Both devices are plug and play so they don’t require any special drivers. Customization options for Kiyo X are done through Razer’s Synapse 3 cloud-based configuration tool.
Both products are available for purchase now at Razer’s website. Kiyo X sells for $79.99 and Ripsaw X is 139.99.
