Zendure SuperMini Lightning power bank review
REVIEW – One day a few years ago my campus went into lockdown for seven hours. Nothing happened other than a bit of panic, the local police getting some practice and some very ruined trashcans, but there was a lot of turn taking at the power outlets in the room. After that experience, I try to always keep a power bank on me. When I saw how tiny the Zendure SuperMini Lightning is, I decided it would be my new everyday carry power bank.
What is it?
The Zendure SuperMini Lightning is a very small Apple MFi-certified portable charger that allows users to charge it with a lightning or USB-C cable and also use the USB-C cable for output.

Design and features
The Zendure SuperMini Lightning is arguably the cutest charger on the market. It’s smaller than a credit card or a deck of cards and is about an inch thick, making it able to nestle into small pockets and almost any handbag. It’s surprisingly light as well at under 7 ounces.
The idea behind the SuperMini is that you can just carry one cable (a USB-C to Lightning cable that comes with iPhones) to charge the charger, then flip the cable around and charge your iPhone. At 10,000 mAh, that’s enough energy to charge an iPhone 12 twice and it can charge that phone from 0-60% in 30 minutes.
The SuperMini’s lightning port is only for charging and is on the opposite side from the USB-C end, which can be used for power in or out. There are four LEDs on the front that let you know the amount of power available. It comes in pleasant green color that is very close to Jadeite collectable glass color, if you’re familiar with that. The color, along with the ridges on the sides give it a bit of a retro feel. The ridges also have a functional role because they keep you from accidentally pressing the power button. At $64.99 it is the most expensive power bank in my lineup, and I wish it was a bit more accessible, but it is unique and a good way to streamline your every day carry items.

Final thoughts
I know the Zendure SuperMini Lightning is pricey for a charging bank, but you are really paying for portability. If you’re a minimalist who doesn’t want to run around with a bunch of cables and a lot of bulk, this is for you! It is definitely for me!
