Pro University Chess League

PUCL is the UK’s first intercollegiate team rapid event. Fixtures are played between teams of 4 students from the same uni, in an all-play-all format, once a month during the academic year. All matches will be hosted at a venue on UCL’s Bloomsbury campus. All relevant tournament information can be found on prounichessleague.co.uk. 

In October we are set to kick off the inaugural season of PUCL, and we have a lot of exciting news. Chess & Bridge has partnered with us to provide all the necessary equipment for an event of this scale as well as some great prizes for the winners! This is a highly anticipated event as several universities in London and outside London have already signed up and lots of work has been put into making it a successful event, serving as an exciting way to grow the sport of chess in the UK and provide a platform for intercollegiate exchange.
