The Wisconsin Chess Association had a good year in 2016. Attendance at our tournaments was up again. The Association’s finances remain strong as well.
In remembrance of Bob Platt
With great sadness we have to report that Bob Platt has died in Southport hospital after a short illness.
Bob was a longstanding member of Formy Chess Club playing for the first team over many years and also was Treasurer for some time.
County Championships ECF Final Stage
Essex U100 were ultimately disappointed to miss out on the "nationals" when Kent won their final match to edge Essex into third place.

Wanstead win National Club Major
