The SCF introduces positional play lecture sessions on topics which help the student identify important elements in the middlegame such as Attacking the King, the power of the 2 Bishops, Passed Pawns and others. Such elements will also help them in formulating a plan for action in the middlegame and provide ideas on how to increase the winning potential in their middlegames. These concepts are most useful in standard chess when there is time to ponder and plan deeply in each game. “
