Arianne Caoili Passes Away

Arianne Caoili passed away earlier today from injuries sustained in a car crash in Yerevan, Armenia, two weeks ago. She was only 33. Caoili was best known in the chess world as Levon Aronian's wife (and long-time girlfriend before that), but she was a fine player in her own right, achieving the WIM title and playing in no fewer than seven Olympiads for the Philippines and Australia. That was just one aspect of her life, and she had moved on to other interests, excelling in multiple endeavors there as well.
