Until now, AI were only capable of winning against one or two human opponents like checkers or chess. Games such as poker requiring tactics such as bluffing and guessing hidden information were considered to be too complicated for artificial programs. A Facebook-created AI has defeated six elite professional poker players in a game of Texas hold-em, as reported on Thursday.
