Chess is the great uniter, says teen who teaches the game

Ashley Priore played her first game of chess when she was 4 years old. It was on a regular board, one without the coordinate labels around the edges that tournament players use to identify each square. Ms. Priore, who had watched her older brothers use those boards in tournaments, wanted to play on a fancy one, too.
