FIDE Candidates Tournament Pairings 2018 - Games and Results
The pairings for the FIDE Candidates Tournament were published on February 9th rather than decided by a draw just before the start. This in part was no doubt so programmes could be printed. Also the draw pairs players from the same country together at the start of each cycle, ie rounds 1-3 and 9-11 for the Russian players Karjakin, Grischuk and Kramnik and 1 and 9 for So and Caruana.
