According to the official website of DC’s Building Bad Sweepstakes, the new foe that one lucky winner will help shape will debut in a September issue of DC’s current core comic book. Batman’s main title is currently written by Eisner Award winner Matt Fraction with art from Jorge Jiménez.
As well, the character will appear in the new Lego Batman video game in September, included with post-launch DLC, along with a DC GO! webcomic targeted for Batman Day on Sept. 19.
‘BATMAN #1’ by Matt Fraction and Jorge Jiménez has already sold 500,000 copies

The winner of the sweepstakes will get to “work with DC to select character traits for a new original Batman DC supervillain” and “play a role in naming the new DC character,” per official rules.
You can enter by clicking here. You are not submitting any information on your villain, as this is not a competition where the winner will be chosen based on the best idea. It is simply a sweepstakes where you provide name, date of birth, and contact information. One winner will be selected to take part in this fan’s dream.
Entries for DC’s Building Bad Sweepstakes opened on April 30 and close on May 31, 2026.
Good luck!
