PGA Tour Golfer Abruptly Withdraws from RBC Heritage
Following an exciting week at the 2026 Masters, many PGA Tour stars now turn their attention toward this coming weekend's RBC Heritage tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links.
Justin Rose was originally slated to take part in the event, but ultimately withdrew his name from the field on Monday.
Rose finished in a tie for third place at Augusta National Golf Club this past weekend, narrowly missing out on his first Green Jacket despite another golden opportunity. The 45-year-old Englishman finished with a 10-under final score, trailing back-to-back champion Rory McIlroy by two strokes.
Rose came in solo second after losing to McIlroy in a playoff at the 2025 Masters.
Michael Thorbjornsen will replace Rose in the RBC Heritage field.

Rose held a two-shot lead at the Masters after going 4-under through his first nine holes. But after recording three bogeys on the second nine, he quickly saw his tournament lead slip away.
Rose was admittedly frustrated following his second consecutive close call at the Masters.
"With a sudden-death loss you kind of know you got to the house," Rose said after his final round, via ESPN. "You've done everything it took to win. Then it comes down to flick of a coin at times. Whereas today I felt like, yeah, there was an opportunity to do better, so obviously that is frustrating for sure."
The RBC Heritage tournament field features lots of big names, including World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler (who finished solo second at the 2026 Masters) and reigning Harbour Town champion Justin Thomas.
McIlroy will not play in the event following his second consecutive Masters victory.
