Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2026 Inductees Revealed

The list of this year's inductees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is officially in — and they're some of the brightest stars across popular music's vast universe.

The official class of 2026 for the museum's celebration of musical legends, presented by Lionel Richie on April 14, include:

  • Arif Mardin
  • Billy Idol
  • Celia Cruz
  • Ed Sullivan
  • Fela Kuti
  • Gram Parsons
  • Iron Maiden
  • Jimmy Miller
  • Joy Division/New Order
  • Linda Creed
  • Luther Vandross
  • MC Lyte
  • Oasis
  • Phil Collins
  • Queen Latifah
  • Rick Rubin
  • Sade
  • Wu-Tang Clan

These new additions include several posthumous awards, granted to Vandross, who died in 2005; Joy Division's original lead, Ian Curtis, who died in 1980; Wu-Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard (Russell Jones) and Oliver "Power Grant, who passed away in 2004 and February 2026, respectively.

Additionally, there is Celia Cruz, who died in 2003, Linda Creed, who passed away in 1986, as well as Arif Mardin (died in 2006), Fela Aníkúlápó Kuti (died 1997), and Gram Parsons, who died aged 26 in 1963. Moreover, Iron Maiden includes the posthumous entries of Paul Mario Day (died 2025), original vocalist Paul Di'Anno (died 2024), and drummer Clive Burr (died 2013).

Sadly for Black Crowes, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, New Edition, P!nk, Shakira, INXS, Lauryn Hill, and Jeff Buckley, they did not receive enough votes this year to secure an induction, despite being eligible. However, three of this year's new members, Oasis, Idol. and Joy Division (later New Order), all failed to garner enough votes last year, so this could easily change.

Artists are eligible for induction into the prestigious museum and musical institution 25 years after their first recording was released commercially. Their induction is then voted on by several musicians, journalists, and music industry professionals — but a fan vote was also introduced in 2013. Ed Sullivan, the late TV host who famously introduced the Beatles to America back in 1964, will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award this year, given to non-music industry professionals who had a significant impact in shaping modern music.

Last year's inductees, including Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper, Joe Cocker, Soundgarden, Outkast, and the White Stripes, were invited to the annual induction ceremony, often including emotional speeches, musical crossovers, and incredible covers from fellow artists who are fans of their work. This year's group will recieve the same treatment, but one inductee who may need some persuading is Oasis vocalist Liam Gallagher, who tweeted last month that the Hall of Fame was "for W*NKERS," and "full of BUMBACLARTS," in typical Liam lexicon.

When asked what would happen if he won, the frontman responded that he would "Obv go and say it’s the best thing EVER," so that's reassuring.
