Compared to the previous iteration, the Ghost 17 has more foam at the heel and forefoot for an extra-cushioned ride. It also wears a redesigned upper that’s tuned for breathability and a structured, snug fit, while the collar at the heel has a new shape to reduce irritation at the Achilles.
The midsole is made from Brooks’ nitrogen-infused DNA Loft v3 foam; the foam has embedded bubbles of nitrogen gas that make it lightweight and springy.
