Nancy Guthrie Update: Savannah Guthrie Makes Decision

As her mother Nancy Guthrie remains missing, Today host Savannah Guthrie made a return to set as she paid a visit to Studio 1A in Rockefeller Center to express her gratitude for all the support shown to her family.

Guthrie thanked the staff and crew for all of the love, prayers and support, and for “caring about my mom as much as I do," according to Today.

“I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope, and I’m still me,” she said. “And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be. I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘Where else would I go?’”

Guthrie's 84-year-old mother disappeared from her home in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, AZ on Jan. 31 as the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Pima County Sheriff's Department continue searching for the missing grandmother.

Savannah Guthrie Makes Decision on TV Future

As the search for her mother stretches over the one month mark, Guthrie returned to the Today set where she confirmed her plans to return to the show in the future.

“I have every intention of coming back,” she told her colleagues. “I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And I would like to try.”

Jenna Bush Hager shared a conversation she had with Guthrie, who does not have a timeline for her potential return to the show.

“Savannah has come back to her home here at 30 Rock and Studio 1A,” Hager said. “We got to see her this morning, and in her perfect way she talked to all of us, hugged every single person in this room, the crew.

“She said that she has the intention to return to the show. Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it’s also her home and where she feels so loved. And she is beyond loved here. And so, we’re happy that she is home. I don’t know when she is actually returning to the show, but she was here and that felt so good to get to hug her."

Earlier this week, Pima County sheriff Chris Nanos provided an update and revealed he believes “the investigators are definitely closer,” to finding the alleged suspect caught on a doorbell camera at Guthrie’s home.
