People Can't Stop Shouting This in Public at Guy Fieri

Guy Fieri has been a staple on the Food Network for nearly two decades. From his frosted spiked hair to his goatee to his signature flame-covered Hawaiian shirt, there's no way the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star could ever be in witness protection. (Although he did have a pretty convincing transformation in his Bosch ad for the Super Bowl. And he could have easily served as a body double for the late Steve Harwell from Smash Mouth.)

The face of the Food Network has just shy of 1 million catch phrases. As he told Entertainment Weekly, fans love to shout them at him in public. "'That's off the hook!' or 'That's money!' or 'I'd eat that off a flip flop'" are among the favs. But there's one catchphrase fans can't stop shouting at the host of Guy's Grocery Games. And it probably comes as no surprise.

"It's the Mayor of Flavortown!"

"The big thing that comes up now is 'The Mayor of Flavortown,'" Fieri told Entertainment Weekly. "'This is in Flavortown.' 'Let's go to Flavortown.' That pretty much catches everybody's attention."

It's customary to announce when royalty enters a room, so why should it be any different for Fieri? He's built his entire brand around the Flavortown extended universe, making himself the mayor and de facto king. (His son Hunter is the Prince of Flavortown, per his Instagram bio). Who wouldn't want a key to that city?

Fieri explained how Flavortown became a census-designated place on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. "Flavortown was a mythical place" that first popped up when he held up a pizza and said it looked like "the steering wheel on the bus to Flavortown." A master of metaphors, Fieri is a modern day Hemingway.

If you can't get a ticket on the bus to Flavortown, there are plenty of ways to bring Flavortown to you. Fieri sells Flavortown sauces and has his delivery-only concept, Flavortown Kitchen.
