Savannah Guthrie Makes Desperate Plea in Response to Ransom: 'We Will Pay'

The search for Nancy Guthrie continues nearly a week after she was abducted from her home in Tucson, AZ between 9:45 p.m. on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

On Wednesday, her children, Today host Savannah Guthrie, Camron and Annie all addressed the suspected kidnapper in a video posted to social media. “Our mom is our heart and our home. She’s 84 years old. Her health, her heart, is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive, and she needs it not to suffer," the Today host said.

“We, too, have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media. As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk,” she continued. “However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please. Reach out to us.”

Savannah Guthrie Delivers Another Plea

On Saturday, Feb. 7, Guthrie, again flanked by her brother Camron and sister Annie, delivered another desperate plea to the suspected kidnapper, making it clear they're willing to pay for her mother's safe return.

“We received your message, and we understand," she said in a video posted to Instagram with the caption "bring her home."

“We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay," she added.

Latest Developments From the Case

The latest developments from the case provide new information with drone video showing police making a discovery on Guthrie's roof and FBI agents removing a mounted, wired device from the side of her home.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation previously announced a sizable monetary award for information on Guthrie's disappearance.

"The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance," the intelligence agency announced on social media.

No suspects have been identified.
