Cioni, 50, may have been one of the last people to see Nancy before she disappeared. He may be one of the last people to be in a photograph with her, too.
On December 25, 2025, Nancy posted a family photo to her personal Facebook account. In the photo, Cioni is pictured standing next to his mother-in-law and holding a black dog. The family is wearing matching pajamas in the image. Nancy wrote in the caption of the photo, "Merry Christmas sweet ones."
Cioni lives in Arizona, and he's been residing there since 2006. In a bio on the Tapirulan Cultural Association website, Cioni wrote, "I write when I have the chance. I study lizards. I play the electric bass. I make homemade pasta," according to Banfield, who read the bio during an episode of her podcast.
Photos From the Crime Scene
According to photos shared by The Daily Mail, agents were spotted at the facility carrying files and notebooks. They entered the residence and were greeted by members of Savannah's security team, who are at the home. The Daily Mail's photos depict investigators arriving on the scene as the search continues.
Unfortunately, the search has uncovered some concerning findings. Early on Tuesday, Jan. 3, NewsNation aired a video showing a trail of blood going up to the front steps of the home. A separate report from the Los Angeles Times states that the blood found at the scene sadly belonged to Nancy.
Also, on Monday, Feb. 2, Pima County sheriff Chris Nanos said that investigators have reason to believe Nancy was taken from her home during the evening.
