Naked Smoothie Announces 3 New ‘Boosted’ Protein- and Fiber-Packed Varieties

0 7

Naked Smoothie, known for its "Machine" smoothies, has revamped its recipe and added two new lineups to its collection. While it has always boasted that its smoothies contain no added sugar, no preservatives, and a treasure trove of vitamins and minerals, its new smoothies offer added nutritional benefits.

Its classic smoothies are now "boosted," as Naked puts it, with ingredients like alfalfa, ginger root, spirulina, broccoli, garlic, kale, parsley and spinach to provide additional antioxidants, fiber, plant protein and omega-3 fatty acids. That means the smoothies you all know and love contain an extra "oompf" of beneficial nutrients. This applies to their entire original collection, including Green Machine, Blue Machine, Mighty Mango Machine, Strawberry Banana Machine, Rainbow Machine and Piña Colada Machine.

Additionally, Naked has expanded its protein line and created two brand-new smoothies for its fiber line. The protein line still includes the fan-favorite Tropical Protein and Double Berry Protein, and now features Coco Gauff's Orange Pineapple Protein smoothie. Gauff is partnering with Naked as its "chief smoothie officer" to bring her own branded smoothie that offers 20 grams of protein, six grams of fiber, 40 percent less sugar, electrolytes from coconut water and sea salt, and a host of vitamins and minerals.

Fans seem to be thrilled with the new partnership, taking to Instagram to comment on the announcement. "If Coco Gauff is drinking it, I'm drinking it too," said one person. "I'm waiting to purchase this ASAP after trying it, it's so GOOD," exclaimed another. "Woohoo!! Looking forward to trying it!" and "Can't wait to try it since we drink the green smoothie all the time," stated two more commenters.

Naked Is Offering New Protein- and Fiber-Boosted Smoothies in Bold New Flavors

Naked's fiber smoothie collection includes the Strawberry Lemon Ginger Fiber Smoothie and Tropical Greens Fiber Smoothie, each offering nine grams of fiber per serving. The fiber is derived from fruit purees, inulin, orange fiber, and vegetable powders, and is lightly sweetened with stevia. The 15.2-ounce bottles contain just 140 and 150 calories each.

"Naked is in a bold new era," said Jeffrey Thompson, VP of marketing and general manager at Naked, in a statement. "With our refreshed lineup, we're doubling down on functionality, delivering the same great taste everyone loves, now with protein, fiber and other benefits that meet today's snacking needs. Rooted in our California heritage and 40 years of real ingredients, Naked continues to be the convenient, delicious choice for consumers on the go."

You can purchase the new Naked smoothies at the same retailers you've been shopping with over the years. They're available at large supermarkets like Walmart and Target, and you can visit the website's store locator to find them near you. The original flavors continue to be available in 10-, 15.2-, 46-, and 64-ounce bottles (with the exception of Rainbow Machine, which is available in 15.2- and 64-ounce sizes, plus 10-ounce bottles for Piña Colada Machine). The new protein and fiber options are available in 15.2-ounce bottles.

If you have always been a smoothie fan but have been wishing for higher protein, higher fiber options, Naked is delivering. For those who prefer fruity flavors over the typical chocolate and vanilla protein shakes, this new line offers an opportunity to incorporate beneficial nutrients in light and refreshing flavors.
