'Scream 7' Trailer Reveals Return of Iconic Franchise Character

She's baaaaaaaack.

Scream 7 on Thursday dropped its official trailer, and it's how fans learned that Neve Campbell's iconic role is back for the horror franchise.

Campbell will reprise her iconic role of Sidney Prescott when the new iteration hits theaters on Feb. 27, 2026. In the trailer, Campbell's Sidney Prescott gets a surprise call from Ghostface, who pops up on Sidney's cell phone with an unknown number.

"Hello, Sidney. Did you miss me?" Ghostface teases, with the clip cutting to Sidney at an active crime scene.

Campbell's return to the franchise is a nod to the franchise going back to its roots. Scream 7 also welcomes the return of Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original 1996 film. He returns to direct the seventh installment. He also co-wrote the script with Guy Busick.

In Scream 7, a new Ghostface killer is on the loose in the same town where Sidney is trying to build a new life. This time, Ghostface is terrorizing Sidney by coming after her daughter, played by Isabel May.

Scream 7 also stars mainstay Courtney Cox, alongside Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, McKenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, and Mark Consuelos.

Scream 7 hits theaters Feb. 27.
