D4vd Wrote Love Song Using the Name of Girl Found Dead in His Car

Last week, authorities made a grisly discovery at a Los Angeles impound lot, as a decaying and dismembered body identified as a 15-year-old girl was found in the trunk of a car registered to 20-year-old singer D4vd.

As authorities continue the investigation, it has come to light that the artist had a matching tattoo with the girl found dead in his car, and the girl's mother indicated that her daughter's boyfriend's name was David.

Now, an unreleased love song written by D4vd mentions Celeste, the same name as the teenage girl found dead in the trunk of his car.

What We Know So Far

  • A decomposing body was found inside a Tesla belonging to musician D4vd at an impound lot in Hollywood.
  • The car was brought to the impound lot after “someone reported it abandoned” in Hollywood Hills, and police were called after workers “reported a strong odor” coming from the Tesla.
  • The body was discovered inside a bag in the Tesla’s front trunk. The remains were not intact and had badly decomposed.
  • The remains were so decomposed that it took authorities more than a week to identify the body.
  • The body was identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
  • D4vd has a matching tattoo with Rivas, and her mother said she has been missing for over a year.
  • Rivas' mother said that her daughter's boyfriend was named David.
  • D4vd initially decided to continue his world tour while cooperating with the investigation, but he canceled his Seattle performance on Wednesday after new information on the deceased surfaced.

D4vd Wrote a Love Song About 'Celeste'

On Wednesday, TMZ reported that D4vd wrote an unreleased love song about someone by the name of Celeste, which is the same name as the teenage girl who was found dead in his car.

The song, which leaked on the Internet back in December 2023 but was never officially released, was titled "Celeste_Demo unfin." The song, which can be heard on Soundcloud, references Celeste by name twice.

"Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes // I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I'm obsessed," D4vd sings in the song.

"Oh, Celeste / Afraid you'll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress / Missing you so much makes me depressed / But I digress, because," D4vd sings in the next verse.

There is no confirmation that the Celeste mentioned in the song is Celeste Rivas.

D4vd Cancels Seattle Performance

Though D4vd initially decided to continue his world tour despite the grim finding in his car, the artist decided to cancel his Seattle performance on Wednesday after new information surfaced. TMZ reports that D4vd is believed to have flown back to Los Angeles.

A representative for D4vd declined a request for comment from TMZ, telling the outlet that they do not want to interfere with the ongoing police investigation.

Authorities have not publicly listed a suspect or a person of interest in the case, and no arrests have been made as of Wednesday afternoon.
