First Descent Ugul Creek in Altai Mountains (Russia)

Kirill Kosogorov and friends paddled the first Descent of Ugul Creek in the Altai mountains of Russia. Three hours on a very bad road in a military car, 5 hours of hiking across the mountain under a snow storm, and two days of kayaking in absolutely wild places, dealing with logs across the river, including boats stuck under logs, long hours paddling… The river is only 20 kilometers long, at an altitude of about 1000 meters. Only one boat out of 4 remained without cracks…
