I've bought a Canadian. The story tells it's a remake from polyester, original would be teh Grumman Aluminium canoe also known from the movie Deliverance with Burt Reynolds.
In the seventies, when the economy in Holland wasn't going so well, Fokker had produced some aluminium canoes in license for Grumman. Then some employees have made any of these for themselves in polyester. I don't know if this story is true but it sounds good!
My canoe is not in excellent condition, although the price was good.
First I have to repair some weak spots at the bottom. They have repaired these spots, but not really good.
Then I would make some new seats from webbing and place a third seat in the centre.
In the winter, when I have some more time, I would make a complete new sheet of glass cloth at the bottom and paint it.
