Greetings from Hartlepool

I'm just getting back into canoeing after quite a few years dry spell - used to do a bit of canoeing/kayaking in my youth but as with many things it's been sidelined along the way! I enjoy being in the great outdoors, camping trips etc and currently have an inflatable, Sevylor Tahiti Plus, which is ok-ish for the time being (my friend has no experience of canoeing but is keen to learn), it does the job and is handy for just bunging in the back of the car. I have ideas of eventually building my own craft, and am mainly interested in river tours - the Great Glenn Trail being high on my list once I've got my mate trained up a bit!
