Another Peasemarsh build
I was on this forum some time ago looking for info on restoring an old kayak for the purpose of fishing from. Well after the advice given on here and quite a bit more research I've decided the project is no longer suitable for my needs. I am still going to complete the restoration with a view to getting the kids out on the water but not for fishing from.
So yesterday I ordered the plans for the Peasemarsh 12 from Stanley Small Crafts, once complete it will be used mainly for solo trips while fishing and the occasional 2 person jaunt. I've done a fair bit of woodwork and fibreglassing, just not on boats or canoes etc, so I feel it's a project well within my capabilities. I'm really looking forward to starting on it and I'm sure I'll have lots of dumb questions for all you guys but I will try and use the search function as much as I can. And of course I'll be sure to take lots of photos over the course of the build.
Unfortunately the ply won't be here until next week but that means I am free this weekend for my mate, a qualified instructor, to take me out on my first paddle :-)
