Bank Holiday Paddle and Swim
My wife and I decided to make use of the Bank Holiday weekend with a couple of nights camping in the New Forest. On the Sunday we took the canoe out for a paddle on the Stour. We launched at 10:15 from Captains Club car park. It was a very busy slipway, with all manner of craft, from boats, jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards and me and the wife in the Prospector.
We turned right and paddled to the weir beyond Iford bridge.
On the way back we stopped for lunch and I took the opportunity for a swim.
We stopped again for an ice-cream and paddled up to the mouth of the Avon. A few pics from our weekend
