Hot hazy and smokey, Shirleys Bay

We went paddling on the Ottawa river last evening in some smokey and hazy conditions, The river was mirror like, hardly any waves at all. Made for a really atmospheric paddle session. I managed to photograph some birds, one of them being a Pelican. First time I have ever seen a Pelican in the Ottawa area.
