High back seat on a stern frame?

I sold the frame that had my lowback seat on it, and I'm taking a handful of friends out this weekend and need to get a new seat on my stern rowing frame. I can snag my high back from my big frame, but I've never used one on a stern frame - curious if anyone has and what the pros/cons might be vs getting a new lowback (if I can find one).
