Oscar De La Hoya and Ryan Garcia have problems yet again, with Garcia saying he’ll leave Golden Boy after his next fight.

Ryan Garcia is once again blasting Golden Boy and Oscar De La Hoya, in what may be the final dust-up between the two sides, as Garcia’s contract is up after his next fight, and he says he intends to leave the company.

Garcia told Manouk Akopyan of Ring Magazine that De La Hoya gave him “the worst offer you can ever imagine” after his upset loss to Rolly Romero in May, and also tried to get Raul Curiel in against Romero instead of a rematch that Garcia wants, calling it “a slap in the face.”

“Oscar has no trust or belief in me,” Garcia told Ring. “Great fighters lose, and they come back, rebuild, and get better. Look at all the times he lost and came back. ... Oscar doesn’t respect me. I don’t think he ever thought I was a good fighter, but frankly, I don’t care. I have one more fight left with him, and that’s it.”

Garcia also said he “should have listened” to what Canelo Alvarez allegedly told him about Golden Boy and De La Hoya. Those sides split with major issues between Canelo and De La Hoya back in 2020, and Canelo has been a vocal critic of De La Hoya and Golden Boy in the years following.

Garcia and De La Hoya have done this dance before on a couple of occasions. In the past, it let to revised or renewed deals with Golden Boy.

For his part, De La Hoya did openly admit on Saturday night, interviewed on DAZN during Golden Boy’s event in Chicago, that he’s not looking to make a Rolly rematch for Garcia.

“No, I actually don’t (like the idea),” De La Hoya said. “Because the first fight was a dull fight, and when you’re a promoter and you’re trying to make rematches, it’s because the people wanna see it. The first fight wasn’t that entertaining, the first fight wasn’t a big deal.

“I believe there’s other opponents out there for Ryan. There’s other big names out there, big fights we can make with the likes of Teofimo and other fighters out there. But first things first, I need Ryan to be in great health.”

Garcia, 26, underwent surgery on his hand after the Romero fight, and says he went into the fight with the injury.
